Dear Anil Babu,
Thanks for your response. I am indeed happy to receive your mail. You are the only person who has responded to this information shared with everybody. There are many people who often claim to be promoting Ol Chiki. I have contacted some people from Kolkata, but could not get the positive response. I learn that there is a direct rail connection from Kolkata to the place where our people are residing. One option could be to send a delegate including the teachers for a training camp for 6 months or invite around 10 people and give them training in India for six months. As i am based at Delhi, it is becoming difficult to organise the same. But let's see what could be done for them.
Necessary fund needs to be created but that is not forthcoming.
Regarding Sunaram Soren Centenary, please visit the all india aseca website for latest information.
Shri Purna Chandra Gomke,
Since long, I browse the all india aseca site, where a letter dated 14.01.2017 forwarded byManik Soren from Bangladesh has hurted me a lot.I remember, he also sought your guidance previously. It is very sad for us that we could not offer required help to them (particularly for OL CHIKI language).
I would not think that there may be any difficulties/hindrances to face to provide guidance. It would be better, if we impart them with proper guidance in this juncture.
However, I would like to thank you for taking initiatives taken for celebrating CENTENARY of SUNARAM SOREN which has been started since 04.02.2017. As such, I am eager to know the schedules of celebrations.
from SRC, Kolkata
Respected Sir, very very good morning. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the "Sunaram Soren centenary" progamme. Its because in 2016 I faced so many obstacles includes my elder sons hospitalization, chicken pox to all family members one by one which lasted for one and half months, and father expired in last November. Even I did not break down, and accepted all as a part of life but consumed many numbers of official leave ( leaves).I feel a little relaxed now of course. Sir, I know obviously you are very very busy these days. I wish all the best for the centenary programme. So, let me elaborate the purpose of sending this mail to you. before I start I beg apology for any mistake written in English.Because my English is not to the optimum level. Its due to to lack of formal education trough regular mode. So once again I must say, if I start English then Kismat Appki. Ok sir.
So let me describe myself. Now I am in learning stage. I am doing only observation. I don't want to be highlighted in public, at least for the time being. Therefore I don't even send any message through common "centenary whats app" group. Of course I share my ideas & views with many santal people specifically those, whom are associated with socially, culturally & religiously etc. etc.. I attend functions, seminars & conference etc. etc.. Many noted santali reformers speak many many many things. But I have not seen the "SYNCHRONIZATION" between their speech & action.I think its one of the huge gaps to create an reliable image within other santali follower people. Usually what happens, we try to teach others, but don't implement the same thing at home. I will give you one instance of "International Santali Conference 2015" held at Rourkeka. One gigantic reformer said that, we should not run behind the Religious (SARNA) prospect. Perhaps we could live without Religion also. So, here I make you know that, his (gigantic reformer's) daughter has married to a Christian (santali) bridegroom. ............ . So , my views are not only limited at Religion. I want all santals to be educated better, earn money, wealth, maintain good health, occupy post and position like you. Our mother land INDIA has so many problems (internal, external). So, we must contribute our efforts for its betterment. Because firstly and lastly we are Indians. So, now we the santals are scattered here and there in some parts of India, and in a regular interval facing so many problems ( assam incident, jharkhand coalfield area incident, rectification of cnt / spt act in jharkhand etc.) & people die. May our term will come tomorrow. So, as I mentioned earlier, whatever the present condition may be, we are not against our motherland India. We must love our India very very much. But we must bring our santal people to the mainstream. In this regard we all have to take responsibility. So that we can provide a safeguarded platform to our future generation.
Sir, yet I am doing only observation. I had met some prominent santal persons, but did not associated with any one. But hope to associate with you. My elder son now is in class Seven. I hope he will study Humanities in DPS R K puram or Modern school or CSKM ( if qualifies in entrance for Class Eleven). So let the truth come, at that time we will discuss more. Truly yours.
I like to extend my hearty thanks for timely publication of editorial regarding Celebration of birth anniversary of Guru Gomke Pondit Raghunath Murmu on Baisak Purnima as Guru Kunami. Being a CHELA (follower) of Pondit Murmu, I opined that celebration of birth anniversary of Guru Gomke in Guru Kunami is the special identity of Santal. We should maintain it.

Manotan P.C. Hembram,
I hope you are fine!
Me and my family members are also fine.
I hope you did not forget our phone conversation regarding the script problem of Santali language in Bangladesh. Around 2 months have passed to talk with you. Therefore, I am writing you to know about your decision for sending a small group of ol-chiki script patron to Bangladesh, who will observe all the condition during their visit and get back to you a sincere report. I think, if we do not take any initiative quickly, the problem will be increased. So far I know that the supporter of roman script are continuing their advocacy and lobby. I strongly believe that, If you will provide your support, we can do something together. I am looking forward to see your kind support.
I hope you are well and doing the best work for Santali language. Well, I am Manik Soren from Bangladesh. I have completed my Masters from Mass communication and journalism department from Rajshahi university and now working with an indigenous mass organization named Jatiya Adivasi Parishad-JAP.
I hope you already have well concern about the Santal people of Bangladesh. Maybe you know that the government of Bangladesh has taken initiative to introduce primary education in 6 indigenous languages including SANTALI. But after the announce of this initiative, a debate has been continuing among us, that which alphabet we will adopt. One side have raised hand for Roman and other side have raised for Bengali alphabet. Therefore the government postponed the Santali language in first stage and keep going there initiative with other 5 languages. But still we do not figure out that which alphabet we will adopt? As a Santal, I think that the Santal people must take one alphabet. I know that the ASECA have a big contribution for Santal's language development in India. West Bengal government forced to adopt the Ol-CHIKI alphabet, because of the long agitation of ASECA.
However, personally i believe that the OL-CHIKI has the scope to be an only alphabet for Santali language. I do not know that you ever take initiative to introduce ol-chiki in Bangladesh and Nepal. So I am humbly request you to take initiative to introduce ol-chiki in Bangladesh. So that we can end our debate. I strongly believe that my organization will help you regarding this matter. We can arrange discussion with mass Santal people and also the government officials, especially who are engaging with education sector, such as Nurul Islam Nahid, Education Minister and Mostafizur Rahman, Primary and Mass Education Minister and Director General of International Mother Language Institute.
I hope, ol-chiki is the only way to make unity of Santal's. And I prefer this, because it is invented by a Santal person, well known as Guru Gomke (Pandit Raghunath Murmu), and it's have a touch of Santali tradition.
I am looking forward to see your reply asap.
With warm regards,

My name is Eliza Dewey and I am a freelance journalist. I am writing a follow-up story on the gang rape of the young Adivasi woman in Birbhum District in January. I would like to speak with the most appropriate person at All India ASECA to get some background information on the topic. In particular, I want to know some basic information about tribal councils, as well as your views as an organization on such councils. I want to know if you view tribal councils as inherently outdated and misogynistic, or as an essential part of keeping Adivasi culture alive, or as something in between.
Is there someone at ASECA that can speak with me in the next few days? I am in the United States, but I can Skype at your convenience.
Thank you for your time.

Dear Sir / Madam ,
I visited your website ( allindiaaseca.org), Information about many Santhali books has been given along with details of the writers. I want to know, if someone wants to purchase those books, can't those be bought Online? Is there any facility for online ordering of books, because these days all books are being bought online, and these days, many Santhals want those Santhali books , but they really don't know how to get those books.
Now a days, most of Santhals are familiar with Internet. So kindly if you provide some arrangement for online buying of books, it will be very easy for us to buy those books.
Hoping for a favorable reply,
