The resolutions adopted at the 16th Annual Conference of the Association held at Gossner Theological College, Ranchi, Jharkhand on 13th & 14th March 2004

  1. The santali language should be given second Rajbhasa status in Jharkhand;

  2. The santali language be included in the central sahitya academy immediately;

  3. Education be imparted in santali language (olchiki script) to the santali speaking students from primary to University levels in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam and Bihar. Separate santali departments should be set up in the universities like Ranchi University, North Orissa University: Baripada, Utkal University: Bhubaneswar, Fakirmohan University: Balasore, Sambalpur University, Vidyasagar Universtiy: Midnapore, Kolkata University, Burdwan University, Viswa Bharati University: Santiniketan and Guahati University.

  4. The santali sahitya Academy should be set up by the governments of Jharkhand and Orissa;

  5. The literary award should be given to the santali writers by the governments of Jharkhad and Orissa;

  6. The currency notes of India be printed in santali language (script being olchiki);

  7. Governments advertisements should be given to the santali newspaper and journals regularly and newsprints be supplied in concessional rates;

  8. More time of half an hour be allotted daily to santali programme in Akashvani, Kokata. Daily one hour time be allotted to the santali programme in Akashvanis of Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Cuttack, Baripada, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Siliguri and Dibrugarh;

  9. There should be daily half an hour programme in santali with news in T.V. centres of Ranchi, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar;

  10. Governments of Jharkhand and Orissa should set up committee for centenary celebration of Pandit Raghunath Murmu. The centenary celebration will be held from Baishakh purnima 2004 to Baishakh purnima 2005;

  11. The postal stamp on Pandit Raghunath Murmu be released by the central government (communication ministry) to commemorate his centenary celebration;

  12. The portrait of Pandit Raghunath Murmu should get place in the central hall of the Parliament;

  13. The statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu should be set up in the important places of Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dumka, Kolkata and Betkundri by the respective state governments;

  14. North Orissa University, Baripada be named after Pandit Raghunath Murmu;

  15. HOR SAMBAD, weekly santali literary and newspaper published by Jharkhand government and PACHIM BANGLA, fortnightly news and literary journal published by governement of West Bengal should be published regularly and preferably in olchiki script.
